Locum Surgery Cardiothoracic NP

Job Opportunity: Locum Nurse Practitioner - Surgery - Cardiothoracic

Summary: Join our dynamic healthcare team in San Bernardino California! We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant specializing in Cardiothoracic Surgery for a locum position lasting approximately six months. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative environment within a leading hospital setting in the Inland Empire region. The facility is well-equipped and dedicated to providing outstanding patient care.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in surgery as the first assist.
• Conduct hospital rounding for patient care.
• Participate in on-call duties.
• Room patients and ensure accurate charting.
• Perform required procedures including CABG AVRs and Lung surgeries.
• Utilize Cerner EMR for patient documentation.
• Manage a patient load of approximately 4-5 patients per day.
• Collaborate with a team of 3 other Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery or General Surgery with a CT Fellowship.
• Active California state license.
• BLS certification required during credentialing.
• Clean malpractice history preferred.
• Must submit a Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of application.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery (required).
• California State License (required).
• BLS Certification (required during credentialing).
• Clean Malpractice History (highly preferred).
