About the Role & Team
Reporting into the HR Manager the HR apprentice will work as part of a small HR team providing support to the HR Manager and wider HR team to ensure the smooth running of the HR Department. As an HR apprentice you will get exposure to all aspects of HR and training support. The role will be based at our head office in Uxbridge full-time.
Key Responsibilities
Onboarding
- Support the onboarding of new hires into BambooHR including setting up new starters onAvantusExpenseInand Astute.
- Issue employment offers and new starter packsmonitoringonboarding progress and ensuring new starter information is accurately recorded on employee profiles.
- Completing and recording right-to-work checksand ensuring that all employees arelegally entitled to work in the UK.
- Conducting reference checksand ensuring these are in place for every employee.
Offboarding
- Process relevant BambooHR offboarding tasks.
- Respond to any external requests for employment references.
Payroll
- Distribution of P45 P11d and P60 documentationto employeesin a timely manner.
- Pension administrationvia the Companys benefit portal(Avantus)andinternally viapayroll.
- Collatenew starter documentation including P45s starter checklists and employee appointment forms and uploading records accurately to BambooHR profiles.
HRIS & System Management
- Update the Companys HRIS (BambooHR) with starters leavers and any changes to employees terms and conditions of employment.
- Update BambooHR with monthly pension changes and new enrolments tovarious benefits.
Recruitment
- Liaising with candidates agencies and hiring managersto schedule interviews.
- Assistin managingthe careers inbox including processing referrals and recruitment related queries.
Talent DevelopmentManagement
- Support the organisation and scheduling of learning activitiesworkshopsand programmes.
- Completionofelearningmodules proactively chasing outstanding training and escalatingnoncompletionto the Talent Development Manager where.
- Support the Talent DevelopmentManagerin preparingtraining materials joining instructions and learner communications.
General
- Support forHR initiativesthroughout the people cycle.
- Electronic filingemployee records andmiscellaneous correspondence.
Key Skills & Experience
- Good general knowledge of the Microsoftsuite.
- Excellent communication skills across all forums.
- Discreet and able toorganiseandprioritisework effectively manage workload and meet deadlines.
- Accurate with good attention to detail.
- A can do attitude.
- GCSEMathsand English at grade C or above.
