Job Summary
About the Role:
The MA Counselor/Assessor Bilingual plays a critical role in providing culturally competent mental health services to diverse populations within the United States. This position is responsible for leading counseling initiatives offering direct therapeutic support and coordinating care plans tailored to the unique needs of bilingual clients. The role demands a deep understanding of mental health challenges and the ability to communicate effectively in at least two languages to bridge gaps in service delivery. The Lead Counselor will ensure compliance with clinical standards and ethical guidelines. Ultimately this position aims to enhance client well-being and promote equitable access to mental health resources across linguistic and cultural barriers.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have a Masters degree in Counseling Social Work Psychology or a related mental health field valid licensure or certification as a counselor or equivalent in the state of employment. Must be fluent n English and Hmong. Have a minimum of three years of clinical counseling experience preferably in a bilingual setting. Must have strong knowledge of mental health assessment diagnosis and evidence-based therapeutic interventions. Training or certification in trauma-informed care crisis intervention or culturally responsive counseling preferred with experience working with diverse populations including immigrants refugees or underserved communities. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and data management.
