A day in the life:
Provide onsite and remote IT support resolving hardware software and connectivity issues.
Prioritize and troubleshoot requests from Information Technology Service Management Solution support desks technicians vendors and customers.
Install upgrade configure and test agencyapproved software and client applications.
Diagnose and resolve system conflicts performance issues and agencywide problems.
Evaluate repair and replace PC hardware and assist with infrastructure component issues.
Install and supports new IT equipment including work in remote locations and during major upgrades.
Assist with network access VPN setup LAN/WAN troubleshooting and performance monitoring.
Introduce and evaluate new technology software and hardware solutions to meet business needs.
Support office moves small projects and processes requests for new software or hardware.
Identify secure back up and assist users with data management needs.
Work is performed in a normal office environment. Will be required to work irregular hours (weekends evenings and holidays).
Travel is required for job related purposes to respond to problems and provide service at various locations.
Must be able to lift computers and related equipment up to 60 pounds.

Through an equal pay assessment we will determine the salary offer using the information you provide in your submitted application materials. The salary range listed is the non-PERS monthly salary range. If you are already a participating PERS member or once you become PERS eligible the salary range will increase by 6.95%.

Minimum qualifications:
Four (4) years of information systems experience providing IT support for customers using Windows PCs for a medium or large organization
OR
An associates degree in computer science information technology or related field OR completion of a two (2) year accredited vocational training program in information technology or related field;
AND two (2) years of information systems experience providing IT support for customers using Windows PCs for a medium or large organization
OR
a bachelors degree in information technology computer science or related field may substitute for all of the above.
Special qualifications:
Driving is an essential function of this position. You must have a validUSdriver license and an acceptable driving record. We will conduct pre-employment driving records checks on our final candidate(s). Your license does not have to be issued in Oregon to be considered.
