Foreman

Responsible for assisting with other craft workers in physical labor on jobsites while maintaining a clean safe and efficient construction site and supporting the overall project.

• Promote and comply with all Company and safety policies and procedures
• Complete all required Safety documentation
• Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment movement and adjustment of machinery to load offload push and pull
• Level earth to fine grade specifications using shovel or other hand tool
• Mix concrete or grout using portable mixer
• Smooth and finish freshly poured concrete using float trowel or screed
• Position join align and connect pumps motors and other mechanical or metal parts
• Mop brush or spread paints or bituminous compounds over surfaces for protection
• Spray materials such as water sand steam vinyl paint or stucco through hose to clean coat or seal surfaces
• Apply caulking compounds by hand or with caulking gun to seal crevices
• Grind sand or polish surfaces such as concrete and steel using abrasive tools or machines
• Perform tasks involving use of hands and tools such as torqueing/tensioning bolts and studs assembling metal parts building bolt cages vibrating concrete sawing lumber dismantling forms removing forms from concrete and demolitions cleanup use of jackhammers etc.
• Provide assistance on the site as needed
• Perform care and maintenance of assigned tools
• Perform physical labor on construction sites
• May be required to travel to different jobsites on limited notice
• Other duties as assigned

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and six to twelve months of related experience in construction
• Or equivalent combination of training and experience

Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required:

• Take reasonable care of your own and others health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward Wanzeks Zero Injury principles
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
• Add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10s and 100s; ability to perform these operations using units weight measurement and volume
• Ability to understand units of force pressure and torque and apply appropriate tooling adjustments for each
• Common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form
• Be able to work within precise standards of accuracy and follow set procedures and standards
