Description of the Position: (Purpose of the Position):
The purpose of the chemistry stockroom worker position is to assist the stockroom staff in the support of research and teaching laboratories in the chemistry department.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Dispensing reagents solutions and supplies through the stockroom window
Washing glassware
Assisting in the preparation of the teaching laboratories
Qualifications: (Education/Experience/Skills)
Candidates for this position must have completed at least one college chemistry course.
Physical and Environmental Factors:
This position requires crouching stooping twisting/pivotingreaching overhead grasping/handling pushing/pulling lifting and carrying objects up to 20 lbs. and operating equipment or machinery to perform the essential functions. It also requires exposure to respiratory factors and chemicals as well as rare exposure to wet or humid conditions indoors proximity hazards and heights or cramped quarters to perform the essential functions. Protective equipment is required for some essential functions. Candidates must possess the ability to safely perform the physical work required of all duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
