Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech. Vishay Spectrol is currently seeking applicants for an Maintenance & Logistics Supervisor (SV. The VISHAY Process Automation Engineer will create detailed project roadmaps for automation projects and automated systems to use in a production and manufacturing environment in collaboration with departmental and corporate leadership. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills in addition to thorough knowledge of engineering and automation.
Job Location:
The ideal candidate will be working on-site in the Sunshine state of California USA in the city of Ontario. Ontario is named The Next Urban Center and is just one hour away from the Greater Los Angeles Area of great beaches entertainment and a melting pot of diverse people and culture.
What you will be doing:
Maintenance & Equipment Support
- Plan organize and execute preventive and corrective maintenance for production inspection test and support equipment
- Monitor equipment availability reliability and performance to support manufacturing schedules.
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs either internally or through approved external vendors.
- Ensure all equipment is safe and operational after maintenance activities.
- Support installation relocation and commissioning of manufacturing equipment as needed.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records in the CMMS including work performed parts used and downtime tracking.
Facilities/Building Maintenance
- Supervise daily logistics operations including receiving internal material movement storage and shipping.
- Ensure materials components and finished goods are available to support production schedules.
- Oversee inventory accuracy location control and stock rotation.
- Coordinate logistics priorities with Production Planning Purchasing and Operations.
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures safety requirements and quality standards related to material handling.
- Monitor logistics KPIs (inventory accuracy ontime delivery material shortages) and report issues to management.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to material flow layout and logistics efficiency.
Planning Prioritization & Coordination
- Determine maintenance and logistics priorities based on production needs safety and risk.
- Coordinate work schedules for internal resources and external service providers.
- Draft and review technical specifications for maintenance work and service contracts.
- Support budget planning for maintenance logistics activities and minor capital expenditures.
Supervision & Team Support
- Provide handson supervision and technical support to maintenance and logistics personnel.
- Support training and skill development to improve team versatility and crossfunction coverage.
- Participate in daily production escalation and coordination meetings.
- Lead or support problemsolving activities related to equipment failures material shortages and recurring issues.
Continuous Improvement & Compliance
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability maintenance efficiency and logistics performance.
- Propose and support implementation of improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures safety standards and ISO requirements.
- Support audit preparation and corrective actions related to maintenance and logistics activities.
What you will bring along:
- 3 years of experience in maintenance logistics or manufacturing support preferably within electronics manufacturing.
- Experience supervising or coordinating logistics or material handling activities.
- Handson experience with preventive and corrective maintenance of production equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues.
- Experience working with CMMS and inventory systems.
- Strong organizational communication and problemsolving skills.
- Experience supervising staff or contractors. (Preferred)
- Familiarity with ISOcontrolled manufacturing environments. (Preferred)
- Experience leading logistics or warehouse teams. (Preferred)
- Understanding of production scheduling and material flow in a manufacturing environment. (Preferred)
- Manufacturing and warehouse environment.
- May require lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Occasional offshift or weekend work to support production logistics or urgent maintenance needs.
Rate of Pay: $9200- $102000 Annually
