Caravel Law has an exciting on-site or off-site on a flexible as-needed basis opportunitywhere you willprovide our clients with Corporate Law Clerk services as an independent contractor.
What Will YOU be Doing
- Work with our various Caravel Counsel in their efforts to provide a range of in-house services to our clients
- Work with our various Caravel counsel in drafting transaction documents and closing financings and acquisitions
- Perform corporate law clerk functions including incorporations maintaining minute book;preparing director/shareholder resolutions; conducting searches and registrations; assisting with financings and transactions and preparing public company filings
What Will YOU Bring
- Minimum of 7years of related experience is required.
- FOR ONTARIO - Law clerk diploma or Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario Certificate (or equivalent).
- Previous experience with corporate records minute books drafting resolutions and related corporate documents
- Contract management or in house experience is an asset
- Entrepreneurial proactive and self-starting team player driven by the opportunities associated with a non-rigid job structure
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proficient with MS Office other IT programs (i.e. corporate law software) and the ability to learn tech based systems quickly
- Ability to work independently with appropriate judgment and discretion
- Professional demeanour and excellent communication
