Role Summary and Impact

As aSenior Associate Data Engineeryou will be joining the one of WPP Medias flagship client partnerships and this role sits at thecentreof delivering the data infrastructure that powers performance-driven advertising insights and analytics for this high-profile account.

This role is an excellent opportunity for an early-career data professional with03 years of experienceto build deep technicalexpertisein advertising data engineering within a fast-paced collaborative and high-impact team environment.

You will play a meaningful role in building andmaintainingthe data pipelines datasets and reporting workflows that underpin our data solutions forOpenDoor. Working end-to-end on anAWS-native technology stack includingAmazon Redshift Amazon S3 anddbt you will contribute to a robust scalable data platform designed to aggregate diverse advertising data sources into a single unified view. Working closely with senior engineers BI and Data Excellence teams you will help ensure our data solutions are consistentlyaccurate performant and aligned to the evolving needs of theOpenDooraccount.

No two days are the same. The problems are complex the work matters and the learning never stops. This is a role where you will be challenged supported and given the space to grow into a strong data engineering professional.

Skills and Experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Build andmaintaindata pipelines usingAdveritydbt and SQLwithin a fully AWS-native environment supporting the ingestion transformation and modelling ofOpenDoorsadvertising and media datasets into a unified reliable view for reporting and analytics.
  • Support the development and maintenance of datasets transformation logic and reporting workflows built onAmazon Redshift ensuring data outputs areaccurate well-structured and aligned to business and client requirements.
  • Work within the AWS ecosystem includingAmazon S3 and Amazon Redshift following established data architecture standards and engineering best practices to contribute to scalable cloud-native data solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve pipeline issues across the stack contributing to the performance stability and data integrity ofOpenDoorsend-to-end advertising data workflows.
  • Partner with internal teams including the BI Data Excellence Activation Client Service Planning teams to understand reporting requirements and translate them into well-structured maintainable data workflows that meet the strategic needs of theOpenDooraccount.
  • Developexpertisein WPP Medias internal tooling and advertising data landscape building a strong working knowledge of digital marketing media campaign data and ad serving technologies as they relate toOpenDoorsbusiness.
  • Activelyseekand apply feedback from senior team membersdemonstratinga growth mindset and a genuine commitment to delivering high-quality reliable data solutions.
  • Contribute to a high-performing and collaborative team culture supporting the broader Data Technology and Analytics team in upholding the highest standards of quality accuracy and client impact.

Essential

  • Solid foundationalSQL skillsfor data manipulation transformation and analysis with a good understanding of best practices and a desire to developoptimisationcapabilities.
  • Hands-on experience with data transformation tools such asdbt data ingestion tools such asAdverity or equivalent platforms.
  • Working knowledge ofAWS cloud data services specificallyAmazon Redshift with exposure to related services such asAmazon S3.
  • Understanding ofdata pipelines data modelling concepts and debugging techniques with the ability toidentifyand resolve data quality issues effectively.
  • Clear and confident communicator able to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues across a cross-functional account team.
  • Detail-oriented reliable and coachable with the drive to deliver high-quality work and a genuine willingness to grow within a structured and supportive team environment.

Desirable

  • Experience working with advertising marketing or media campaign data including familiarity with digital ad serving technologies or web analytics platforms.
  • Basic understanding of queryoptimisationtechniques withinAmazon Redshiftto improve pipeline performance and efficiency.
  • Exposure tocode review processes and version control tools (e.g.Git).
  • Basic awareness ofCI/CD practicesfor data pipelines within an AWS environment.
  • Exposure toproject management tools such asJira or Confluence.
