Job Summary

Now Hiring: Second Shift Service Operations Lead
Schedule: 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM

We are launching a dedicated second shift in our service department and are looking for the right person to lead the evening operation.

This role is ideal for someone with service advisor experience technician experience dispatch experience or shop leadership experience. The right candidate understands how a service department operates can communicate clearly and knows how to keep work moving.

This position is the operational lead for the second shift. You will help control workflow coordinate with technicians update repair orders manage day-to-night handoffs communicate repair status and make sure the shop is organized and productive before the next business day begins.

This is not a traditional service advisor role and it is not a traditional shop foreman role. It is a leadership position designed for someone who understands both the front-end and back-end of fixed operations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading the second-shift service operation from 3 PM to 11 PM
  • Reviewing open repair orders and identifying what can be completed that evening
  • Dispatching and prioritizing work based on technician skill parts availability promised times and carryover needs
  • Communicating with day-shift advisors managers and technicians
  • Updating repair order notes clearly and accurately
  • Monitoring repair status approvals inspections and carryover work
  • Supporting technicians with workflow and repair direction
  • Communicating with customers when needed
  • Ensuring completed work is properly documented
  • Helping maintain shop organization key control vehicle status and end-of-night processes
  • Escalating concerns to service leadership when needed

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Automotive service experience
  • Advisor technician dispatcher or shop foreman background preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to make decisions and keep work moving
  • Technical understanding of vehicle repairs and service department workflow
  • Strong follow-up and documentation habits
  • Leadership ability and accountability
  • Comfort working independently during evening hours
