The Sr. Plant Manager is responsible for leading a high complexity high mix low volume manufacturing operation focused on assembly test and delivery of purpose-built vehicles. This role requires a hands-on leader who can effectively manage production flow material availability and operational execution while maintaining strong alignment with safety quality and continuous improvement objectives. Operating from a highly visible headquarters location this role partners closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure operational excellence and organizational alignment.
YOUR IMPACT

- Lead day-to-day plant operations with a strong focus on safety quality delivery and cost maintaining a consistent presence on the production floor
- Manage a high mix low volume manufacturing environment with multiple product lines and complex assembly requirements across thousands of part numbers
- Ensure effective material flow by partnering with supply chain and planning teams to address constraints improve kitting processes and minimize production disruptions
- Oversee assembly sub-assembly test and shipping operations to ensure efficient throughput and adherence to customer requirements
- Utilize ERP systems to ensure accurate transactional flow including receiving inventory management picking and line-side delivery
- Drive operational execution across multiple departments including operations warehousing planning quality and safety ensuring alignment to cost targets and performance metrics
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators including production schedules labor efficiency cost control and budget adherence
- Lead and develop a team of direct reports including value stream leaders providing coaching guidance and support to enable team success
- Foster a people-first culture by actively supporting employee development engagement and problem-solving at all levels of the organization
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives leveraging lean manufacturing principles including standard work 5S and flow optimization
- Partner with engineering finance and supply chain leadership in a highly matrixed environment to align priorities and drive business results
- Participate in strategic initiatives and long-term planning while balancing the immediate needs of daily operations
- Manage operational budgets and cost centers monitor variances and drive cost performance improvements
- Ensure consistent product quality in a non-repetitive manufacturing environment by reinforcing standards and customer requirements
- Lead daily and weekly production and business meetings ensuring clear communication of priorities risks and execution plans
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree with eight (8) years of relevant experience.
- Five (5) or more years of management experience leading and developing others.
STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience leading operations in a high mix low volume manufacturing environment with complex assemblies with annual revenues greater than $150 million
- Background in Engineer-to-Order industries such as capital equipment power generation heavy equipment or similar environments with high product variability
- Strong understanding of material flow supply chain integration and production planning in a complex manufacturing setting
- Experience working with ERP systems and managing transactional processes that support production flow
- Demonstrated ability to lead in a highly matrixed organization with multiple senior stakeholders
- Proven track record of driving continuous improvement using lean manufacturing principles such as Toyota Production System standard work and 5S
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to balance hands-on operational involvement and strategic thinking
- Experience managing operational budgets cost centers and performance metrics
- Ability to lead and develop teams through coaching mentorship and active problem-solving
- Experience operating in environments with limited repeatability requiring strong quality oversight and adaptability

Pay Range:
$118700.00 - $211300.00The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range individual pay is determined by various factors including the scope and responsibilities of the role the candidates experience education and skills as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
