About the role
Reporting into the Manager as a Team Leader with the Families Together program you will play a meaningful role in supporting families at a pivotal point in their lives. You will be focused on ensuring your team are positioned to provide exceptional services to families so that it reduces the risk of children entering out of home care.
Alongside advocacy and collaboration with other services youll be part of a passionate growing team shaping a new Families Together program locally contributing your ideas expertise and values while being supported to do your best work in a role that is both professionally rewarding and deeply fulfilling.
Duties
As aTeam Leader you will:
- Lead the team to deliver highquality clientcentred services that achieve strong outcomes and meet organisational funding and compliance requirements.
- Translate organisational vision values and direction into clear expectations for daytoday practice.
- Partner with the Manager to ensure service delivery is effective sustainable and continuously improving.
- Support team members to meet performance expectations build capability and develop their skills through regular feedback recognition and supervision.
- Monitor and review service quality client plans and outcomes identifying and addressing gaps in practice or capability.
- Facilitate effective communication through team meetings practice reviews and regular 1:1 discussions.
- Identify and support learning and development needs within the team including access to internal and external learning opportunities.
- Ensure mandatory reporting and compliance obligations are met in collaboration with the Manager.

Skills and Requirements
We want you to be successful in your new role! This means you have adegree qualificationinSocial Work PsychologyAllied Healthor related discipline and:
- Program Leadership- experience managing and leading programs in the Community Services sector.
- People Leadership- experience building/maintainingan engaged high performing team and developing their capability.
- Practice Leadership- a passion for continuous improvement and implementing industry best practice into service delivery.
- Flexible & Collaborative Approach lead this innovative team/program and engage a range of stakeholders.
- Excellent understanding of child protection issues & client vulnerabilities and the impact of trauma and the effect on child behaviour and development.
- Strong skills and experience in assessingidentifying and addressing child protection concerns.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise in a fast-paced environment ever changing environment.
- Holistic strengths-based approach to achieve lasting change.
