Job Summary

Job Description:
As a Physical Therapist Assistant you will work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to provide rehabilitative care to our patients. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting the Physical Therapist in developing and implementing treatment plans conducting therapy sessions and monitoring patient progress.

Responsibilities:

- Assist the Physical Therapist in evaluating and assessing patients conditions to determine appropriate treatment plans

- Collaborate with the Physical Therapist to develop individualized treatment plans for patients

- Conduct therapy sessions under the supervision of the Physical Therapist

- Monitor and document patient progress making adjustments to treatment plans as needed

- Educate patients and their families on exercises and techniques to improve mobility strength and overall function

- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols

- Stay current with advancements and best practices in physical therapy

Requirements:

- Associates degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program

- Current state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant

- Minimum of 1 year experience working with geriatric patients

- Strong knowledge of physical therapy principles and techniques

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care

- Ability to lift and move patients as needed

- Flexibility to work Monday-Friday with no weekend rotation
