Position: Physical Therapist Assistant - Geriatric
Job Summary:
As a Physical Therapist Assistant you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients regain their strength mobility and independence. This is a full-time position with a competitive hourly rate of $45-48/hour as well as relocation assistance and sign on incentives for qualified candidates.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the evaluation and treatment of geriatric patients with physical impairments or disabilities
- Implement individualized treatment plans established by the Physical Therapist
- Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans
- Educate patients and their families about the benefits of physical therapy and how to continue exercises at home
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients
- Ensure a safe and clean treatment environment for patients
- Stay current with new techniques and advancements in physical therapy
Requirements:
- Associates degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with geriatric patients
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
