Key Responsibilities (Specific to the Technician Role):
The successful candidate will play an integral role in our medical team utilizing their full range of technical skills in a fast-paced yet supportive environment. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Surgical preparation monitoring and recovery
- Anesthesia induction and maintenance
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians
- Performing dental prophylaxis charting and radiographs
- Phlebotomy IV catheter placement and laboratory sample processing
- Collecting and analyzing diagnostic samples (e.g. cytology urinalysis)
- Providing compassionate patient nursing care and pain management
- Educating clients on pet health post-operative care and preventative medicine
- Accurate medical record keeping
