NPPA – Outpatient Adult Urology

Job Summary
Work Schedule:
100% FTE Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00 am 5:00 pm.
Urology at UW Health is consistently ranked among the countrys top programs and offers center-oriented specialty treatments and consultations in Pediatric Urology urologic cancers stone disease urinary tract infections voiding dysfunction and infertility as well as a full complement of minimally-invasive surgery techniques related to urologic conditions.
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to:
- Provide care to adult urology patients in an outpatient setting.
- Conduct comprehensive or episodic health history and physical assessment of patients with acute chronic and/or potential health problems.
- Perform routine clinical procedures independently as outlined in practice agreements/scope of practice including but not limited to: catheter insertions catheter changes and complex bladder irrigation.
- Potential to complete additional procedures in clinic including but not limited to: ureteral stent removals.
Education:
Minimum
- If Nurse Practitioner: Masters or Doctorates degree from accredited Nursing Program.
- If Physician Assistant: Bachelors or Masters degree from accredited PA Program.
Licenses and Certifications:
Minimum -
- If Nurse Practitioner: Active RN and APNP license in State of Wisconsin AND active board certification as a NP in Adult; Adult/Gerontology Primary Care; Family; Gerontology.
- If Physician Assistant: Active PA license in State of Wisconsin AND active PA board certification.
All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have:
- Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire AND
- CPR certification and advanced life support certifications if relevant to practice area (ACLS PALS NRP).
