Responsibilities
Develop and execute national sales and marketing strategies aligned with corporate objectives and global freight forwarding network capabilities.
Identify and drive growth opportunities across key verticals trade lanes (air ocean and multimodal) and strategic initiatives.
Set sales priorities budgets and business plans to achieve volume revenue and profitability targets.
Lead new business development efforts focusing on strategic account acquisition tenders and RFQs within freight forwarding and logistics services.
Manage and grow an individual portfolio of key accounts ensuring long-term partnerships and revenue expansion.
Oversee contract negotiations pricing strategies spot and long-term rate management and commercial agreements in line with market dynamics.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers carriers and logistics partners to ensure competitive solutions and high service reliability.
Ensure customer satisfaction through customized freight solutions proactive communication and service excellence across the supply chain.
Lead customer onboarding implementation and retention initiatives ensuring smooth operational handover and ongoing service performance.
Monitor and drive commercial and financial performance including GP per shipment client trade lane and mode of transport.
Optimize profitability by balancing yield volume and cost-to-serve across air freight ocean freight and value-added services.
Drive EBIT growth and shipment volumes across all regions in alignment with country and regional targets.
Collaborate with operations pricing product and regional teams to deliver integrated logistics solutions and improve service consistency.
Provide market intelligence on freight rates capacity trends competitor activity and customer needs to support product development and innovation.
Requirements
Proven experience (812 years) in freight forwarding or logistics with at least 35 years in a senior sales leadership role.
Strong understanding of international freight forwarding operations including air freight ocean freight customs brokerage and trade lanes.
Demonstrated success in winning new business managing global/regional accounts and delivering revenue and margin growth.
Solid knowledge of pricing mechanisms carrier negotiations and freight market dynamics (e.g. spot vs. contract rates).
Proven ability to manage complex RFQs/tenders and develop competitive value-driven logistics solutions.
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyze financial performance (GP EBIT yield) and drive profitability.
Established network within the logistics and supply chain industry is an advantage.
Excellent leadership and team management skills with experience developing high-performing sales teams.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence internal and external parties.
Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment and respond to changing market conditions.
Proficiency in CRM systems pricing tools and Microsoft Office applications.
Bachelors degree in Logistics Supply Chain Business or a related field (MBA is a plus).
