Job Summary
Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN)
Location: Oswego NY
Duration: 13 Weeks
Hours: 40 Hours/Week (5x8)
Shift: Days Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Compensation:
- Travel Rate: $38$40/hour ($1425 $1500/week) based on experience
- Local Rate: $32$35/hour ($1200 $1312/week) based on experience
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented LPN/LVN to support patient care operations in a clinical/medical office setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills clinical knowledge and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with office and medical procedures
- Room patients and obtain vital signs
- Support patient scheduling and referral processing
- Maintain accurate patient documentation within the EMR system
- Assist nursing and administrative staff with daily operations
- Communicate effectively with patients providers and healthcare teams
- Utilize medical terminology and clerical skills to support workflow efficiency
- Ensure high-quality customer service and patient experience
- Follow infection control and patient safety protocols
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Graduate of an Accredited Practical Nursing Program with active New York LPN License
- BLS Certification required
- Current CPR Certification required
- Strong clerical computer and data entry skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology required
- Experience with EMR systems preferred
- Minimum 1 year of medical office experience preferred
- Knowledge of third-party insurance processes preferred
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED required
- LPN graduate from an accredited program required
