Position Purpose

At Interface Australia were looking for a forward-thinking Technical & Engineering Manager to lead engineering excellence across our business. This is a high-impact role where youll influence product innovation optimise manufacturing performance and lead a talented technical team in a dynamic purpose-driven environment.

Youll play a pivotal role in shaping how we design develop and deliver our products - bringing together strategy leadership and hands-on expertise to drive continuous improvement and operational success.

Areas of Responsibility

Youll be at the heart of our technical operations leading people projects and performance:

• Lead and prioritise engineering activities to maximise efficiency and technical capability
• Develop and mentor a high-performing technical team
• Scope design and deliver engineering projects including capital investment initiatives
• Oversee and support the Maintenance Manager with maintenance operations to ensure reliable high-performing plant and equipment
• Partner with global and local teams to stay at the forefront of product innovation
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Marketing NPD and QESH to bring new products to life
• Support Account Managers with technical expertise and industry engagement
• Champion safety sustainability and continuous improvement across all operations

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Degree-qualified in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical preferred).
• 10 years experience in engineering and maintenance leadership roles preferably in managing integrated teams
• Strong track record managing teams and delivering complex projects
• Analytical mindset with the ability to solve technical challenges and drive innovation
• Experience building KPIs and metrics that deliver real business impact
• Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
• Resilient proactive and solutions-focused approach
• Experience with ISO 17025 and lean manufacturing (highly regarded)
