The Assistant Director of Sports Science / Football supports the design implementation and daily operation of the football sport science program. This role contributes to the monitoring of athlete workload readiness and recovery while assisting in translating data into actionable insights for coaches medical staff and performance personnel.
The position will collaborate across strength & conditioning sports medicine nutrition and coaching staff to enhance player availability readiness and performance. Position reports to the Associate AD Performance Enhancement / Football.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Exercise Science Sport Science Kinesiology Biomechanics or related field and/or a masters degree
Experience with athlete monitoring technologies (GPS force plates etc.)
Strong proficiency in Excel (data organization formulas basic analysis)
Applied understanding of training load concepts (volume intensity ACWR etc.)
Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings evenings and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in collegiate or professional football
Experience and proficiency with the following:
- Player tracking systems: Catapult / Zebra systems
- VALD technologies: ForceDecks NordBord ForceFrame
- Data visualization tools: Tableau Power BI
- Data analysis & coding tools: R Python
- Machine Learning: Predictive modeling feature engineering model evaluation
- Computer Vision: Player tracking pose estimation video annotation
- Systems: Git APIs
