About us:

At Kolbe Catholic College we are dedicated to the transformative potential of education inspired by our vision that Everyone Grows As our community flourishes with our established St Clare of Assisi Campus (Greenvale) and the new opened St Catherine of Bologna Campus (Mickleham) we are thrilled to announce this opportunity for a committed and passionate Food Technology Teacher at St Catherine (Mickleham).

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development documentation and implementation of the English curriculum adhering to VCAA requirements.
  • Foster continuous improvement in pedagogy assessment practices and differentiation within the English curriculum.
  • Support staff in developing strategies for teaching students with mixed abilities.
  • Oversee the assessment processes for English subjects including Assessment Schedules examinations SACs and reporting periods.
  • Lead Learning Area meetings promoting collaboration and professional learning.
  • Support the professional growth and capacity building of teachers within the learning area.
  • Review student performance data in English subjects to identify areas for growth and target professional learning.
  • Manage the Tier T2 Literacy & Numeracy intervention program in collaboration with the Learning Leader Numeracy

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Successful teaching experience with demonstrated capacity to initiate improvements in teaching learning and classroom practice.
  • Post-graduate study or immediate intentions for future study in a relevant field.
  • Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with staff students parents and the wider community.
  • Strong collaborative skills working effectively within teams.
  • Excellent organizational and administrative abilities.
  • Capacity to plan and manage resources effectively to support educational programs.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional learning.
  • Exemplary teaching skills and practices.

  • Remuneration: As per CEMEA2022
  • Tenure: 2027-2029
