Job Summary
The Painter works directly with the maintenance team to ensure the propertys aesthetic standards are maintained and all turnover units are completed in a timely manner. The Painter is responsible for overseeing all interior painting projects drywall restoration and finishing requirements of the property.
Responsibilities
- Execute high-quality painting tasks that may include priming and applying various finishes to walls ceilings and trim.
- Ensure vacant units are prepared for occupancy by performing expert drywall repair taping mudding sanding and texturing to create seamless surfaces.
- Utilize professional equipment such as brushes rollers and airless paint sprayers to achieve efficient and uniform coverage.
- Protect property by properly using drop cloths and ensuring clean lines in all finished work.
- Work at a fast pace without impacting quality ensuring make-ready units are completed on schedule for new move-ins.
- Conduct all business in accordance with company policies and procedures state and federal laws (OSHA ADA Fair Housing).
- Dress in a professional manner according to Jones Street uniform policy.
- At least one year of experience in residential or commercial painting
- Proficiency in drywall repair and surface preparation techniques
- experience with paint sprayers is highly preferred
- Excellent time management skills can easily shift priorities and timelines
- Valid U.S. drivers license
- Must be able to lift 50lbs and comfortably work form ladders or scaffolding
