Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Operational Risk Senior to join our fast-paced multifaceted and agile environment. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in operational risk strong analytical and interpersonal skills and a solid understanding of the Single-Family Acquisitions (SFA) business and/or primary and secondary mortgage markets. In this role you will work closely with SFA Risk Management business leaders to help manage the divisions operational risk supporting the development and implementation of robust risk frameworks and processes. Your expertise will contribute to Freddie Macs mission to support the housing market and the nations renters homebuyers and homeownersacross the country and through all economic cycles.

The Single-Family Acquisitions Operational Risk Teamisresponsible for working with management to effectively handle operational risk.

Your Impact:

In this role you will have opportunities to broaden your business and risk competence while being part of an inclusive team targeting to deliver the following:

  • Lead Risk and Control Self Assessments (RCSAs) over SFA Operational Risk Management processes including both business and technology processes

  • Perform issue oversight including evaluating issue action plans issue action plans and monitoring issue milestone status

  • Comply with operational risk frameworks/programs

  • Provide risk/control advisory support upon request

  • Periodically participate in operational risk-related projects that impact the SF Acquisitions division

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience

  • 5-7 years of operational risk management and/or audit experience

  • Relationship Management skills including influencing others facilitating meetings engaging partners building relationship networks and resolving conflict

  • Relevant professional certifications (CPA CISA CIA Six Sigma etc.) are a plus

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $98000 - $148000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position experience skill set internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
