Your new role

Provide compassionate client-centred support to young people seeking voluntary withdrawal and/or respite from alcohol and other drug use. The Youth Alcohol & Other Drug (AOD) Worker plays a key role in maintaining a safe welcoming and culturally inclusive environment supporting young peoples wellbeing recovery goals and engagement with appropriate services and care.

Your skills and experience

You will bring with you:

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work Youth Work Psychology Nursing Allied Health or a related field
• Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) completion of core competencies or willingness to complete within 12 months of employment
• Competencies in dual diagnosis or willingness to complete within 24 months of employment
• Knowledge of the Alcohol and Other Drug sector including the relationship with the Forensic AOD System and Central Intake Services
• Strong communication engagement and interpersonal skills with young people and stakeholders
