Location:
Congress House flexible working policy with most staff expected to work from the office for a minimum of 50% of working hours.
The TUC is looking for a Pensions & Expenses Finance Support Officer to join its busy finance team.
In this role youll work as part of the wider finance team to manage the financial processing for our pension scheme and youll look after all aspects of the expenses claim process for staff and external claimants. The role will involve use of our finance software packages Business Central and Continia and our expenses platform Webexpenses. You will liaise with our union affiliates to ensure their timely membership returns and work with management accounts colleagues to prepare prepayment and accruals journals and make sure expenses are coded to the right budget.
Youll be based in the TUCs Finance team and work closely with colleagues across all functions of the team.
Whatexperienceskillsknowledgeand understanding do you need
- You will be AAT qualified or have the experience to demonstrate the ability to achieve the qualification
- Youll have excellent attention to detail and have experience of checking expense claims or other financial records to ensure accuracy
- Youll be confident with IT systems both those you are familiar with and those that are new
- Youllhave excellent communication skills and be comfortable resolving queries sensitively for both colleagues and people from outside of our organisation
