WHAT WE NEED YOU TO DO
We are looking for a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) Student Assistant to join our Sustainability team on a part-time basis covering maternity this role you will primarily work on calculating climate footprints for Oatly products support corporate climate footprint calculations in line with the GHG Protocol and contribute to a range of sustainability-related analyses. We are looking for a student with a high attention to detail a strong interest in data and numbers and a structured approach to analysis who is motivated by turning data into clear business-relevant insights.
As part of the team your responsibilities will include:
Updating climate footprints for existing Oatly products in line with Oatly guidelines.
Collaborating with relevant business functions to collect the data required for calculating product climate footprints for new products and communicating results.
Researching analysing visualising and explaining LCA data and insights.
Supporting and conducting sustainability analyses to inform internal decisionmaking (e.g. selection of suppliers ingredients and packaging materials).
Supporting the sustainability reporting process including identifying appropriate emission factors conducting data analysis and helping set up and maintain processes in our GHG Protocol accounting systems.
The position reports to the Sustainability Director Analysis & Reporting and the location for this role is at our HQ in Malmö.

WHAT WE NEED YOU TO BRING TO THE TABLE
Be a 2nd year BSc student/First year MSc student within engineering/sustainability and with a focus on LCA.
Have knowledge of the LCA methodology from your studies.
Have conducted LCAs/product climate footprints within your studies.
Efficient and thorough research skills as a means of collecting reliable LCA data.
Experience with data analysis visualization and interpretation.
Good command of Microsoft Excel functions.
Experience with LCA databases.
Experience with LCA software (experience with SimaPro or similar).
Passion for numbers.
As a person you are analytical accurate independent and able to communicate with people in English on an international level.
And first and foremost willingness to learn!
Some practical things:
You should be able to work from the Malmö office 12 days per week. During the peak reporting period in February more frequent onsite presence may be required.
The position is available from June or July. We are looking for someone who can work parttime during the summer during which time you will receive onboarding in Oatlys LCA and climate footprint guidelines tools and data sources. Once studies resume the role is expected to be approximately 20 hours per week through the end of March.
