The Opportunity

We are seeking a high-calibre Maths Teacher to join an Ofsted-rated Outstanding secondary academy. Core Responsibilities

  1. Exemplary Instruction: Delivering high-challenge Mathematics lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE) with opportunities for A-Level Mathematics and Further Maths for suitably qualified candidates.

  2. Conceptual Mastery: Teaching the why behind the how guiding students through the intricacies of calculus trigonometry and statistical analysis with clarity and precision.

  3. Problem-Solving Leadership: Cultivating a classroom environment where students are encouraged to tackle non-routine problems and develop resilient logical reasoning.

  4. Data-Driven Progress: Utilizing the academys sophisticated tracking systems to identify misconceptions early and provide the exact intervention needed to ensure every student exceeds their targets.

  5. STEM Integration: Collaborating with the Science and Engineering departments to demonstrate the vital role of mathematics in innovation and technological progress.


The Successful Candidate We are looking for a subject authority who is passionate about making complex patterns accessible and exciting. Requirements include:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong honours degree in Mathematics or a related quantitative discipline (e.g. Physics Engineering).

  • Proven Track Record: Evidence of delivering exceptional learning outcomes and a deep understanding of the current GCSE and A-Level assessment frameworks.

  • Instructional Clarity: The ability to demystify abstract conceptsfrom quadratic equations to probability distributionsfor students of all abilities.

  • Reflective Practice: A professional committed to continuous growth eager to participate in lesson study and collaborative planning within a high-performance team.
