Electrical & Instrumentation Technician

As an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician at ROCKWOOL you will be responsible for maintenance repair and troubleshooting of the latest electrical equipment. Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor you have a keen eye to identify potential problems in electrical design and will work as part of a dynamic team of industrial electricians and electrical engineers collectively focused on continuous improvement and operational uptime.

• 2-year degree or equivalent certification or work experience required.
• 2-3 years practical experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment and with automated equipment required.
• Proficient knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers(PLC)/Automation specifically Siemens and EndressHauser instrumentation;
• Grow and develop the team by sharing knowledge/experience.
• Act as anambassador demonstrating our core values of Ambition Integrity Responsibility and Efficiency.

• Install and maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) using skills to troubleshoot with communication software.
• Perform Electrical and PLC tasks including but not limited to the following: Calibrating monitoring repairing and maintaining transmitters controllers plant safety systems power systems and sensors.
• Maintain equipment by way of planned preventive maintenance programs keeping maintenance records per company policies as well as advanced troubleshooting of electrical/electronic equipment during shift.
• Provide electrical and instrumentation support to the functional area to ensure production can continue in a safe and effective manner.
• Install calibrate maintain test troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical instrumentation equipment and associated electrical/electronic controls and related devices for continuity current voltage and resistance.
• Install visually examine replace or repair electrical wiring receptacles switch boxes transformers conduits feeders fiber-optic and coaxial cable assemblies lighting fixtures and other electrical components.
