We at Saison Restaurant Nijmegen are looking for a motivatedIndependent Working Chef I for our restaurant. Are you a chef whoperforms best in the kitchen As a chefyou are responsible for thepreparation and plating of (parts of) dishes. You work under thesupervision of our head chef or owner but you are also capable of runningthe kitchen independently. You work closely with your fellow chef and ifnecessary supervise the kitchen assistant. You follows instructionsregarding ingredients recipes work methods and the presentation ofdishes. You are available on weekends and can work both during the dayand in the evenings. Working hours and schedules are fl exible and will bearranged in consultation. Tasks
- Selecting and preparing (washing cutting mixing etc.)
- Conducting intermediate checks (doneness taste color etc.) andmaking adjustments as needed.
- Ensuring consistent quality and hygiene.
- Supervising the work of kitchen assistants and making correctionswhere necessary.
- Keeping track of stock levels ordering ingredients and checkingdeliveries.
- Daily cleaning of the work environment kitchen equipment andworkstations.
- Reporting technical faults and resolving minor issues.
- Providing input regarding the composition and adjustments ofmenus the menu list and working methods
Requirements
- You take independent initiative and act solution-oriented.
- You work with conviction and dare to take responsibility.
- MBO-3 work and thinking level (If you dont meet the requirementsapply anyway!)
- Demonstrable knowledge of basic cooking techniques.
