Job Summary
Our client a leading Manufacturing Supplier in the St. Catharines Ontario is currently looking for a full-time permanent 2nd Class Power Engineer with expertise in Steel Manufacturing industry.
Job: 2nd Class Power Engineer
Pay: $ 40 43 per hour
Location :-St. Catharines Ontario
Responsibilities:
- Operate monitor and maintain boilers compressors cooling towers HVAC systems pumps and related mechanical equipment
- Perform routine inspections preventive maintenance and equipment servicing
- Record meter readings water test results and maintenance logs accurately
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and support repair activities and equipment overhauls
- Inspect equipment for safety risks abnormal conditions and replacement needs
- Read and interpret blueprints technical drawings and equipment manuals
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations operating procedures and industry standards
- Support maintenance planning and work effectively in a fast-paced industrial environment
Qualifications:
- Valid Ontario 3rd Class Operating Engineer Certificate required
- Experience working as a 3rd Class Stationary Engineer in an industrial setting
- Working toward 2nd Class Stationary Engineer Certification preferred
- Strong troubleshooting mechanical hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge
- Ability to work shifts overtime and weekends when needed
- Excellent problem-solving communication and organizational skills
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and team collaboration
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities efficiently
