Duration: 5 Months (Potential extension)
Shift: 1st (40 Hours/Week)
Pay Rate: $28.00/hr. on W2

Position Overview
The Senior Research Associate will support day-to-day laboratory operations by conducting hands-on experiments analyzing data and assisting in product and process development. This role focuses on building foundational scientific knowledge while executing well-defined experimental tasks and supporting research initiatives.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented mechanically inclined and eager to learn in a dynamic R&D environment.

Key Responsibilities

Laboratory & Research Work

• Perform hands-on laboratory experiments and procedural work
• Execute sample preparation and analysis using standard testing methods
• Operate maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
• Document experimental procedures observations and results accurately
• Identify inconsistencies errors or unusual findings and escalate appropriately

Product & Process Development

• Support development of prototype products and technical understanding
• Analyze relationships between input variables and experimental outcomes
• Assist in improving lab processes productivity and efficiency
• Maintain compliance with safety standards and lab protocols

Systems & Documentation

• Originate and revise product specifications using Enovia
• Route materials and standards for peer review and approval
• Understand relationships between master specifications individual specs and standards

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Work closely with cross-functional R&D teams
• Contribute ideas to improve experimental processes and workflows
• Participate in a collaborative fast-paced innovation environment

Required Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Engineering Mechanical or related field or High School Diploma with relevant hands-on experience
• 0 3 years of laboratory R&D or technical experience
• Basic math skills (algebra geometry trigonometry)
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and in team environments

Required Technical Skills

• Experience with Enovia (specifications routing standards)
• Understanding of specification hierarchy (master vs individual specs)

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP data comparison analysis)
• Experience working with formulation data (e.g. fill weight sheets product specs)
