Critical Access Hospital (CAH) & Emergency Department
Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team supporting a 21-bed Critical Access Hospital (CAH) and Emergency Department environment.
In this role you will provide comprehensive respiratory care services to patients across acute and emergency care settings while collaborating closely with physicians nurses and interdisciplinary healthcare teams. The ideal candidate is clinically skilled patient-focused and comfortable working in a fast-paced acute-care environment.
Compensation - Pay Range: $34.92 $45.35/hour
(Compensation based on experience)
Key Responsibilities - Assess treat and monitor patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditions
- Administer respiratory therapies and treatments in accordance with physician orders and clinical protocols
- Support emergency and critical care respiratory interventions
- Operate and maintain respiratory therapy equipment and monitoring devices
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
- Ensure compliance with safety infection control and regulatory standards
- Provide compassionate patient and family education regarding respiratory care plans and therapies
Required Qualifications - Graduate of an approved Respiratory Therapy program required
- Associate of Science Degree required
- Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License State of Oregon required
- Current credentialing through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) required
- Current certifications required:
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Minimum of 1 year of Respiratory Therapy and pulmonary medicine experience in an acute-care setting required
Preferred Qualifications - Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system preferred
Preferred Skills & Competencies - Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment abilities
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work effectively in emergency and acute-care settings
- Commitment to patient-centered care and safety
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
