About the Job
The EMS Senior Technician will assist the EMS Supervisor in the duties and perform field work to help maintain the district HVAC Direct Digital Controls (DDC) and Energy Management Systems (EMS). The EMS Senior Technician will work with the Owners technical quality support team (TQST) to repair and maintain the HVAC DDC front end EMS and use them to encourage preventive maintenance identify potential energy conservation measures and suggest facility improvements
Essential Job Duties
- Assist with HVAC DDC and EMS Design and Submittal reviews
- Assist in reviewing utility data and energy usage to identify schools for recommissioning and retro commissioning
- Assist in reviewing EMS energy data and alarms to identify no cost/low-cost energy conservation and preventive maintenance measures
- Perform site visits to investigate and evaluate EMS/DDC conditions on identified projects
- Scope out and implement low-cost solutions or alternatives to projects/repairs of EMS systems at existing school sites
- Respond to trouble calls calibrate systems and troubleshoot and resolve basic electrical and DDC problems
- Assist in managing In-House Commissioning Projects
Hardware/Software Knowledge
- Understanding of computer networking principles including configuration maintenance and troubleshooting.
Professional Experience Level/Other Quali cations
- Minimum of Three (3) years professional experience as an HVAC DDC technician
- Understanding of computer networking principles including configuration maintenance and troubleshooting
- Ability to wire start up and troubleshoot basic HVAC DDC maintenance issues
- Fundamental understanding of HVAC operations within a facility.
Education/Training
- Bachelors or Associate degree in Engineering (Mechanical Computer Science Electrical Information Technology)
OR
- Two (2) years technical degree in HVAC Electronics-related studies with additional Two (2) years of full-time paid related work experience
Compensation
- This role is salaried/exempt with a base annual salary range of $95000.00 - $ 97948.00 and commensurate with skill education experience and work location.
- This role is bonus eligible after 6 months of employment.
