Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Works Inspector – Electrical to support major roads and infrastructure projects in Doha Qatar. The candidate will be responsible for inspecting electrical installation works related to infrastructure and utility projects ensuring compliance with project specifications approved drawings safety standards and quality requirements.

Candidates must have strong experience in infrastructure roads utilities street lighting traffic signal systems and associated electrical works. Experience in oil & gas commercial buildings or residential building projects will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor electrical works related to roads and infrastructure projects.
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings project specifications and local authority standards.
• Conduct inspections for street lighting traffic signals electrical ducts cabling feeder pillars and utility-related electrical systems.
• Coordinate with contractors engineers and site teams regarding inspection activities and corrective actions.
• Review material installations and workmanship to ensure quality compliance.
• Prepare inspection reports site observations and documentation records.
• Monitor site safety practices during electrical installation activities.
• Assist in testing and commissioning activities for electrical systems.
• Report non-conformance issues and follow up on rectification works.
• Ensure all activities are completed as per project schedule and quality standards.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in roads infrastructure and utility projects.
• Strong experience in street lighting traffic signal systems electrical utilities and infrastructure electrical works.
• Familiarity with international standards and local authority regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Experience in Qatar/GCC infrastructure projects is preferred.
• UPDA certification is an advantage.
