Job Summary
Position Summary
The intern will work with Jenifer Reader Associate Professor Family and Consumer Sciences Extension Educator Eat Smart Idaho District 4 Administrator and Becky Woodhouse Eat Smart Idaho District 4 Coordinator.
Required Qualifications
Must have completed a minimum of 12 credits within the last year (these 12 credits may come from high school dual enrollment credits) at one of the following eight Idaho public universities or colleges (private Idaho universities or colleges do not qualify) and are currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program. Priority will be given to University of Idaho student applicants. University of Idaho Idaho State University Boise State University Lewis-Clark State College College of Southern Idaho College of Western Idaho College of Eastern Idaho North Idaho College Experience collaborating with team members or external partners Experience producing written materials (e.g. reports summaries or correspondence) Experience delivering verbal presentations or sharing information in group settings Proficiency using computer applications such as word processing spreadsheets and email
Preferred Qualifications
Must have the ability to travel to multiple work sites. University will follow applicable policies if personal vehicle is used which may include reimbursement at a pre-established rate. Completed coursework in Education Science Human Development Family and Consumer Sciences Food Safety Food Science Nutrition or other relevant subject areas. Comfortable working with the public and volunteers (youth and adults). Self-motivated and capable of working independently. Experience answering phones responding to email and communicating through social media.
