Were looking for a hands-on people-focused Workshop Manager for our Exeter depot supporting a fleet of over 160 vehicles across the southwest.
As Workshop Manager youll play a central role in ensuring our fleet is clean safe and roadready while supporting the ongoing development of the workshop as our fleet evolves including the introduction of electric vehicles and associated depot infrastructure.
What youll be doing
- Leading and motivating your team to deliver safe reliable and well-presented vehicles
- Scheduling and prioritising vehicle maintenance and servicing activities
- Supporting team development identifying training needs and fostering continuous improvement
- Quality checking vehicles after maintenance to ensure high standards are met
- Upholding health safety and environmental standards in line with legislation and Stagecoach policy
What were looking for
- Relevant engineering experience including mechanical electrical and bodywork knowledge
- Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in relevant engineering field (mechanical or automotive)
- Experience managing or supervising a workshop or technical team and a strong understanding of PCV operations
- Strong understanding of health and safety practices and regulatory standards
- A people-centred approach to leadership with strong communication and influencing skills
- Ability to plan analyse and make confident decisions in a dynamic environment
