FREEDOM RACING TOOL AND AUTO in Lamoni IA is hiring. One of our employees has moved to a different department so we need somebody new to print shipping labels. The job is all about details. You catch small errors before they become big ones or this isnt the role for you.

Hours are flexible within reason. Full-time is an 8-hour day. You pick your end time: 4:30pm or 5:00pm or as late as 6:00pm if youd rather come in later and stay later. Were also open to part-time at a minimum of 4 hours per day starting no later than 12:30pm. No nights no weekends no holidays no mandatory overtime. Climate controlled building!

Starting pay will vary based on your qualifications and experience but will likely be around $16/hr. Good reliable employees WILL get raises.

A NOTE ABOUT THE ACTUAL WORK: your primary job will be printing shipping labels. Thats where youll spend most of your day and thats what well train you on first. Once youve got that down well start cross-training you in other areas so you can step in when somebody is out or things get busy. We are not expecting you to be a jack of all trades on day one. What we are expecting is that once youve found your footing youre willing to learn beyond your primary role and pitch in where youre needed. If thats not my job is something you say out loud youll be miserable here.

REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to read small font

Can comfortably navigate a computer

Can lift packages up to 40 lbs although the average package is under 10 lbs

Have attention to detail (Everyone thinks that they have this but most dont. You simply cant make mistakes in this role without it affecting our most important asset our customers.)

Can accept responsibility for mistakes learn from them and move forward (If everything is always someone elses fault I dont want to work with you.)

Reliable (If you cant consistently show up for work dont waste your time or ours as youll be fired anyway.)

Will make my job easier (I hire employees to make my life easier. If you make my job harder by adding drama etc. what was the point in hiring you)

Can work well with others (You will need to constantly discuss things with your coworkers. If you struggle working well with others you will hate this job.)

Have a reliable vehicle that gets around well in the bad weather

Can leave your cell phone alone and get work done

Doesnt use meth or any other hard drugs.

Can easily adapt to change (Our company is growing. Things will change. Procedures constantly evolve here.)

Can work well under pressure on days when its hard to keep up with the number of orders received (We guarantee every package goes out the same day if received by our cutoff time.)

Can handle polite constructive criticism

Ability to focus on what you were hired for. Were not hiring you to worry about what your co-workers are doing.

Willingness to be cross-trained over time and step in where needed when were shorthanded

Bonus points if youre a non-smoker because that means youll likely take fewer breaks

Sense of humor

Comfortable being around large dogs

Good personal hygiene

Is a good person (Completely serious about this. Were not interested in you if youre a bad human. We have a team of good people who genuinely care about others and I wish to maintain that culture.)
