Maintenance Technician (2nd Shift)

Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Shift: 2nd Shift (3:00 PM 11:00 PM)
Pay: $24$29/hr 15% shift premium
Type: (Contract-to-Hire)

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Maintenance Technicians for a contract-to-hire opportunity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for supporting equipment reliability building maintenance and production uptime across stamping presses automation systems and related plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform repair and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment presses automation systems and facility infrastructure
• Troubleshoot and maintain mechanical hydraulic pneumatic and electrical systems
• Operate forklifts and man lifts as needed
• Support press setup activities and contribute to reducing setup time through teamwork and continuous improvement
• Follow all safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout and electrical safe work practices
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks corrective repairs and equipment improvements per maintenance schedules
• Accurately document downtime work orders and maintenance activities following established procedures
• Support wastewater handling duties after required training
• Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives and waste reduction efforts
• Collaborate with production and maintenance leadership to support operational goals
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of stamping presses conveyors CNC machines washers and automated equipment
• Experience with hydraulics pneumatics lubrication systems and mechanical troubleshooting
• Ability to read and interpret hydraulic pneumatic and lubrication schematics
• Basic understanding of electrical circuits and diagrams
• Welding experience (MIG and/or ARC) and torch cutting experience
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Familiarity with quality and compliance systems (IATF 16949 ISO 14001 or similar preferred)

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs frequently
• Extended periods of standing bending lifting and repetitive motion
• Occasional ladder use for facility maintenance
• Manufacturing environment with continuous noise exposure
• Must be willing to work overtime as required
