The Mailroom Clerk will be responsible for the receipt sorting and delivery of all University mail correspondence as well as the preparation of all outbound metered postage. They will also be responsible for assisting in approving printing taking photos for J-Cards.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
Receives and sorts mail for distribution.
Delivers mail to pre-established internal mail areas.
Processes and sends outgoing mail utilizing postal procedures.
Processes airfreight and overnight shipments.
Monitors postage meter and other operating supplies to ensure availability.
Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
Participates in regular safety meetings safety training and hazard assessments.
Applies all applicable OSHA and related local safety requirements to all assigned work.
Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
Attends training programs (classroom and virtual) as designated.
May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
High School diploma GED or equivalent experience
0 - 2 years of related experience
Must have excellent customer service skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good working knowledge of computers required such as MS Office
Must have reputable Motor Vehicle Record
