This full-time on-site position is located in Elmira and presents a unique opportunity for entry-level professionals to join a dedicated team committed to providing exceptional patient care in the medical practice industry.
As an Orthopedic Surgeon a you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating patients with musculoskeletal conditions. You will have the chance to work with experienced professionals and participate in a range of surgical procedures contributing to the overall health and well-being of the community.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat patients with orthopedic conditions
- Perform surgical procedures as required
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Participate in patient consultations and follow-up care
- Stay updated with the latest developments in orthopedic practices
- Educate patients and their families about treatment options and recovery
- Contribute to the development of clinical protocols and best practices
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Completion of residency in orthopedic surgery
- Valid medical license to practice in the state
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Commitment to patient-centered care
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Schedule: 2.5-3 days of clinic and 1.5-2 days of OR per week
1:5 general and hand call rotation
Case Mix: Hand and general orthopedic cases
Support Staff: APPs for call
Team Structure: 4 orthopedic surgeons 1 plastic hand surgeon and 2 podiatrists
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
Compensation & Benefits:
$693327 base salary
$50K sign-on bonus
