. This contract position is an on-site role that offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality orthopedic care in a dynamic medical practice setting.
As a Locum Orthopedic Surgeon you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care performing surgeries and collaborating with our dedicated healthcare team. You will have the chance to work with a diverse patient population and contribute to improving their quality of life through expert orthopedic interventions.
Responsibilities
- Perform orthopedic surgical procedures and patient evaluations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care for patients
- Document patient information and maintain accurate medical records
- Educate patients and their families on treatment options and recovery
- Participate in departmental meetings and case discussions
- Stay updated on advancements in orthopedic techniques and technologies
- Ensure compliance with medical regulations and ethical standards
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification or eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Virginia
- Strong clinical and surgical skills in orthopedic procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced on-site environment
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Experience in a similar locum or contract role is preferred
Schedule: Day night and weekend call coverage
Shift Information: 24-hours
Duties: Consults surgery and rounding
Average Daily Volume: 8 patients
EMR: Meditech
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
