In this role you will own the full lifecycle ofboard-level and system-levelelectronics hardware design and implementation foradvanced RF communication systems. We are seeking adigital-focusedPrincipal Electrical Design Engineer with deepexpertiseinelectrical design andtest as well as the ability to help drive overall program direction. This position requires strong attention to detail rigorous design reviews and a solid understanding of relevant industry standards.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree or higher in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
- Minimum of 11 years of relevant experience in board-level electronics design analysis and test.
- Significant experiencedesigning electronics with rigor in teams that value thorough analysis and testing.
- Expertisein aspects of digital and mixed-signal electronics such as signal integrity implementing FPGAs on boards ADCs/DACs and telemetry subsystems.
- Experience owning the design phase of complex board-level electronics including trade studies key part selection and detailed design.
- Experience delivering hardware designs through production and deployment.
- Expertisein PCB layout including high-density interconnect (HDI)stackupdesign and high-speed routing.
- Experience running board-level signal integrity and/or power integrity simulation tools such as AnsysSIwave ADSSIPro or MentorHyperlynx.
- Proven success in debugging root cause analysis and design reviews.
- Depthin point-of-loadpower converterdesign for digital boards.
- Strong working knowledge of adjacent fields such as software and mechanical that guides hardware design and system design.
- Extensive lab experience for bring-up and verification of new hardware.
- Familiarity with EMI/EMC concepts and design to mitigate these effects.
- Understanding ofmilitary and/orDO standards.
- Experience with design qualificationand production lifecycle.
- Has ledsmall teams of hardware engineers to develop multi-module assemblies including hardware architecture requirements make/buy decisions and interconnects.
