As a Music Therapist at The Learning Spectrum (TLS) youll use the power of music to support emotional regulation communication and behavioral growth in children and young adults with autism spectrum disorder and developmental delays. Youll design individualized interventions rooted in both music therapy and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to help each learner reach meaningful milestones.
What Youll Need
Masters degree in Music Therapy from an AMTA-approved program
Active certification through the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT)
At least two years of experience supporting children in behavioral clinical or educational settings
Ability to collaborate effectively with educators therapists and families
Strong documentation communication and organizational skills
What Youll Do
Develop and implement evidence-based music therapy sessions tailored to each clients goals
Integrate behavioral and therapeutic strategies to promote social emotional and cognitive growth
Collaborate with BCBAs educators and caregivers to ensure coordinated client-centered treatment
Uphold AMTA ethical standards and maintain active certification and continuing education requirements
