Job Summary
The Claim Handler will directly support the Legal Manager in building and operating the Claim & Insurance Control Tower related affairs. This role covers end-to-end cargo claim handling across air sea inland transport and other services provided by Morrison and assists in standardizing claim insurance and legal risk management procedures.
Job Responsibilities:
- End-to-End Claim Handling
Handle and track cargo loss/damage cases including documentation collection and liability assessment under applicable conventions. - Subrogation & Recovery
Pursue claims against liable parties support recovery strategy and assist in negotiation and settlement. - Insurance Administration
Support policy management underwriting coordination and insurance reporting. - System & Process Enhancement
Maintain claims database monitor KPIs and support SOP development and process improvements. - Cross-functional Coordination
Collaborate with global stations insurers and internal teams to facilitate claim handling and resolution. - Support other legal department projects as needed.
Education/Technical Skills
- University graduate.
- Fluent bilingual (Chinese/ English) written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge/ Work Experience
- More than 3 years of experience in cargo claims freight forwarding insurance or related legal fields.
- Familiar with international cargo liability frameworks (Montreal Convention Hague-Visby Rules and other similar International Conventions and/ or applicable laws).
- Hands-on experience with insurers.
- Cross-border or multicultural work experience.
