Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a 14-week contract assignment in Loganville GA. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality rehabilitative care to patients recovering from injuries surgeries or medical conditions that impact mobility and function.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises mobility training and functional activities
- Monitor patient progress and document treatment outcomes accurately
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and recovery techniques
- Maintain a safe clean and organized treatment environment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care
- Ensure compliance with clinical protocols safety standards and facility policies
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current PTA license/certification in the state of Georgia (or eligibility to obtain)
- BLS certification preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
Preferred Attributes
- Prior experience in outpatient inpatient or rehabilitation settings
- Strong patient-centered care approach
- Ability to work independently while following clinical guidance
