Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Outcomes Nurse (RN) to support our Structural Heart Program including TAVR MitraClip TriClip and emerging transcatheter valve therapies. This role is critical to maintaining compliance with CMS-mandated NCDR TVT registry requirements which directly support program accreditation quality reporting and reimbursement.

As part of a growing and innovative structural heart program this position plays a key role in ensuring accurate and timely data abstraction follow-up reporting and ongoing quality improvement initiatives. The Outcomes Nurse will also contribute to team collaboration cross-coverage and data integrity efforts helping to ensure consistency and excellence across the program.

Clinical Data & Outcomes Management

  • Review patient charts and abstract clinical data for TVT/NCDR registry reporting
  • Ensure accurate and timely data submission in accordance with CMS-required deadlines (including 60-day follow-up)
  • Collaborate with structural heart physicians and care teams to improve documentation and outcomes
  • Support data entry queries and analysis for structural heart program reporting
  • Partner with MD leadership to validate data accuracy and registry compliance

Professional Oversight & Expertise

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of NCDR TVT registry definitions requirements and updates
  • Participate in registry education meetings and ongoing professional development
  • Collaborate with Health Care Quality Peer Review Committees and Health Information Management
  • Stay informed on evolving best practices in structural heart and transcatheter therapies

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Serve as a clinical leader within the Outcomes team
  • Work independently while contributing to team goals and submission deadlines
  • Partner with physician champions and service line leaders to support program growth and compliance
  • Support inter-rater reliability and cross-coverage efforts within the team

Reporting & Performance Improvement

  • Prepare and present benchmark and outcomes reports to leadership and performance improvement teams
  • Identify negative trends and escalate to appropriate stakeholders
  • Support registry-driven research and quality initiatives in collaboration with Clinical Research teams

SCHEDULE:

  • Part-Time 20 hours per week
  • MondayFriday business hours with flexibility
  • Hybrid work: On-site and remote work flexible based on hours worked per week

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience
  • Experience in cardiology structural heart or cardiac procedures strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with registry data abstraction and regulatory reporting (NCDR/TVT preferred)
  • Strong understanding of quality of care and outcomes measurement
  • Ability to work autonomously and be self-motivated
  • Strong time management skills with ability to meet strict regulatory deadlines
  • Comfort with data analysis reporting and interdisciplinary collaboration

Note: The compensation range(s) in the table below represent the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidates relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.
