Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Production Coordinator to oversee and coordinate the daily workflow of surgical instrument processing operations. This role is responsible for managing loaner and consignment trays ensuring accurate instrument tracking and maintaining efficient sterilization processes to support surgical and clinical teams.
The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills experience within a Sterile Processing Department (SPD) and the ability to coordinate effectively with vendors clinical staff and internal teams in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate all incoming and outgoing loaner and consignment surgical trays
Verify tray accuracy completeness and integrity before and after sterilization
Track instrument trays throughout sterilization usage and return cycles
Collaborate with vendors operating room staff and SPD personnel to ensure timely processing and delivery
Monitor and prioritize daily production workflow to maintain operational efficiency
Identify and resolve processing delays discrepancies and workflow issues
Support and provide guidance to sterile processing production staff as needed
Maintain communication regarding tray availability and processing status
Ensure accurate documentation and data entry within instrument tracking systems
Generate production reports metrics and workflow performance updates
Maintain compliance with infection prevention safety and regulatory standards
Required Qualifications
Strong organizational and coordination skills
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
High attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency with instrument tracking systems and reporting tools
Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong problem-solving and workflow management skills
Education
High School Diploma or GED required
Certifications
One of the following certifications is required:
CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician)
CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician)
Experience Requirements
35 years of Sterile Processing Department (SPD) experience required
Experience managing loaner and consignment surgical trays preferred
Experience coordinating workflows across multiple teams and departments
Knowledge of sterilization standards instrument handling and processing procedures preferred
