Join Deakins Faculty of Arts and Education as a Support Officer in our Professional Experience Office where youll play a key role in delivering a smooth and positive placement experience for our School of Education this frontline administrative role youll be the first point of contact for students mentors and school partners providing responsive support managing shared inboxes maintaining accurate documentation and helping coordinate the Victorian Paid Placement Grants program. As a Support Officer you will:
- Deliver effective and efficient front-line services by managing shared inboxes taking calls and responding to student mentor and school enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Act as the first point of contact for stakeholders needing support using sound judgement to triage enquiries and escalate matters to Placement Officers or Team Leaders with the appropriate level of urgency.
- Monitor and process documentation including placement records PPG eligibility forms and student information to ensure accuracy and compliance with university requirements.
- Collect and record information needed for placement and PPG administration ensuring data is entered accurately and actions are completed within required timelines.
- Collaborate closely with Placement Officers and Team Leaders to support daily operational tasks problem solving and smooth workflow across the placement cycle.
To be successful youll have:
- Completion of a Degree without subsequent relevant work experience; or
- Completion of an Associate Diploma and at least two years subsequent relevant work experience; or
- An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
