Whats the role
As a Financial Crime Reporting Specialist youll play an important role in helping protect Westpac and the community from financial crime. Youll focus on reviewing complex matters conducting investigations and preparing reports that support regulatory obligations and strengthen our overall control environment.
Youll work closely with analysts and stakeholders to ensure consistent high-quality outcomes sharing your expertise and helping lift capability across the team. Your work will contribute to identifying risks early improving processes and supporting the broader Financial Crime Surveillance function.
This is a hands-on role where youll combine analytical thinking with sound judgement to make decisions and deliver meaningful insights that support compliance and operational improvement. This is a fulltime/permanent role with hybrid working based in Melbourne Parramatta or Adelaide.
What do I need
Youll bring strong investigation skills attention to detail and a collaborative approach to working across teams.
3 years working in ops teams within financial crime (Essential)
Youre confident conducting investigations analysing information and preparing clear well-structured reports (Essential)
You understand financial crime risks including AML and can apply this knowledge in a practical real-world way (Essential)
You communicate clearly and build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business
Youre organised and comfortable managing competing priorities while maintaining high attention to detail
You enjoy sharing your knowledge supporting others and contributing to a strong team culture
