Job Summary
A wellestablished manufacturing business based in the Somerset area is looking to appoint a Cost Accountant / Management Accountant to strengthen its finance team. This is a permanent officebased role offering longterm growth and handson exposure in an operational environment. Reporting into the Financial Manager the successful candidate will play a key role in cost control stock management and financial support across operations. This role suits someone who enjoys being close to the business and contributing to performance improvement.
Job Description:
Cost and variance analysis across materials labour and overheads
Supporting cost management pricing and margin analysis
Inventory and stock control including reconciliations and investigations
Assisting with monthend close journals and management reporting
Operational finance support within a manufacturing / FMCG environment
Continuous improvement of costing controls and reporting processes
Skills & Experience:
25 years experience in a manufacturing FMCG or operational environment
Strong commercial and analytical skills
ERP system exposure essential (SYSPRO advantageous)
Comfortable working fully onsite in a factoryaligned environment
Qualification:
BCom (Cost Management / Accounting) or similar
CIMA qualification (completed strategic level or higher)
